Preludes And Nocturnes

Things I Want. A List.

January 25th, 2011

I’m conflicted.  I want some stuff.  The list is as follows:

Camera.  One of those DSLR ones.  Or whatever they’re called.  The ones that can take nicer pictures.  Jim got me photoshop for Christmas, so now I want more fodder.

Dyson vacuum.  $700. That is kinda all I need to say for that one.

New winter boots.  My current boots were bought in 2000 from (I think) payless shoes for (around) $30.  They might even have been BoGo.  They are starting to crack and amazingly ugly.  I found some really nice ones this week at Mark’s but, here’s where I’m insane, they’re not on sale.  I just think that buying winter boots in January they should be on sale.  They are full price.  $109 full price.  Blah.  If they were $80 I’d buy them.  My aunt pointed out that if I average things out… yeah.  I know.  But, again, FULL PRICE IN JANUARY.  Asshats.

I’m saving up my card money to get one or all of these things.  I need to sell a hella lot more cards, needless to say. I also want housekeepers, but one of my thoughts is that I can take a bit more time out of my day (hahahahaaaa haaa ha..hmm yeah, the math doesn’t really work on this). Anyway, take a bit more time out of my day and put in 45 more minutes towards cleaning and then pay myself the $40/week towards those things I want. But, um, you have seen how long it has been between blogs, I’ve not shaved my legs since Obama was elected, and marking starts coming in this week.

Vote for your favorite item to purchase.  Polls close .. er, later.  Valid everywhere.Подаръци

I know - my poor blog :(

January 22nd, 2011

But I will try to keep blogging.

And see, Jim got me photoshop for Christmas so I want to load that onto my computer and then ask for a nifty new camera for my birthday (or a dyson vacuum, I can’t decide which) so I could post more pictures here!  Wouldn’t that be great?

Baby-making events (aside from the obvious) - I had the x-ray thing done and then hoped that I’d get pregnant in January since many women have reported that as a nice side-effect.  Since the dye tends to push out any random flotsom and jetson just lagging about in the tubes, many women get pregnant even when the test didn’t report any official blockages.  But, well, no.  I neither had blocks nor did I get pregnant in January.  So my doctor is going to be sending us to the fertility clinic in the next town here and we might be looking at IUI in the coming months.

We have to make some decisions about IVF, the super-charged IVF, and IUI.  The costs for IUI are okay, but the results are not as sure-fire.  With that said, the costs and side-effects of IVF are rather over-the-top.  Mainly due to the drugs.

Add to that the chances of multiples and the idea of being a raging bitch for a few months and egg harvesting and everything, I think we might just hang our hopes on IUI which is essentially artificial insemination.  Idea being that we can just take the goods right to the source and let them do things naturally without the swimmers having to brave the rapids that usually derail a good number of them.  It seems I’m ovulating on my own, so this could just work.

More and more I’m trying to just get into the mindset that maybe we’ll just have one kid.  But I really want another one.  So I will try to keep you all updated in a more timely fashion of exciting events as they happen.

Hope you had a Merry Christmas!
