Julia came to vist.
Leone came to visit.
I had 50 midterms and 70 papers and … 30+ presentations and 13 labs to mark. All I’ve got left is the presentations and labs. I’m wiped out. Like going to lose my mind level of wiped out.
We are getting up to the provincial park 4-5 times a week for these great 45 min walks with Malcolm. He runs the entire time. We had assumed that we would miss these “real” walks for a few years until he was, like, seven or something.
We’ve hit that stage he’ll totally tell us off now. It makes us laugh. He then gets REALLY pissed at us. “NO MOM NO STOP!” and he’ll hold up his hand in front of me with a furrowed brow.
The talking is crazy from him. Tonight:
Jim: Should we go for a hike tomorrow?
M: Yeah dad!
J: Who goes for a walk with us?
M: Auntee Leone, Auntee Jooolia, GrMa, Dad, Mom, My.
J: Do we run?
M: Yeah dad! Dad run run run. My run run run!
J: What about auntie julia and auntie leone?
M: Yeah dad! Auntee yeeown Auntie Joooya run run run!
J: What about mom and grandma?
M: No dad. Walk.
J: They walk?
M: Yeah dad. And Rod.. (what he calls my dad for some crazy reason - most likely because he heard Jim call him that at Thanksgiving - when Malcolm suddenly that day started using names - and said it and we laughed, so it stuck).
J: What does Grandpa do for the walks?
M: Rod at home.
Which is true. Dad doesn’t come with us on the walks. We just laughed because it is crazy how much he can clue into now.
He has a Thomas the Train pillow case. This makes his night. He keeps looking down and exclaiming “oh fun!”
In all, keeps us busy
